Create Your Finding Plan

It is important to always have your next 3 months finding plan, so you know each month where you are going to find your new people from before the month arrives. Otherwise, months can come and go quite quickly without you finding, inviting, teaching or enrolling many people.  It is much more effective to be very intentional and prepared about your finding as this is the most important part of building a successful business in dōTERRA.

Do the following in advance:

  1. Decide your Monthly Goal

  2. How many people do you need to find each month

  3. Write down all your ideas (Bad and Good)

  4. Look for inspiration for other ideas

  5. Add these ideas to your list

  6. Rank your ideas

  7. Plan your top 10 ideas

  8. Do your top 10 ideas

  9. Continue with the ideas that work or refine ideas you think could work better

  10. Drop ideas that don’t

  11. Add new ideas continually and implement them.

Do the things that Light You Up!

It is important that with every aspect of your dōTERRA Business you do the things you enjoy as much as possible!  This is especially true when it comes to finding.  You are not going to magnetize many people towards you if you are not enjoying the process of finding and talking with them.  Do things that light you up and share the oils while you are doing these things.  This will also help you find your niche people.  It can take some trial and error before finding all the ways that you enjoy so here is a list to get you started.  Try the ones that jump out at you first and then keep moving to the next until you find the methods that work for you.

  • Investigate local shops/cafes that do classes/workshops

  • Recruiting companies

  • Join local exercise clubs – running, cycling

  • Stall at local races – triathlons, swimming, running etc

  • Offer to do free presentation at local events – don’t sell!

Record All Connections

As you are finding people, record every single connection on your contact list. This will help you keep track of everyone.  Some people move very quickly through the process while others can take longer so it is important to keep track of each person and strategize how to help each one move along the path. Here is an example of some of the things you can keep track of in your contact list.

  • Name

  • Contact Info (email/tel)

  • Date met and where

  • Info (sampled, ailment, professional?)

  • How interested (rank with number)

  • Invited to?

  • Attended class and date

  • Info (liked/interested in baby class etc)

  • Enrolled

  • WC

  • U/S/B

Your business will only grow if you are continually finding and talking to people. You have the delicious Cookie, just go out and talk about the oils to everyone!

Remember the most important things are to use the oils constantly so you can be genuine and passionate about them.  Find your natural way of sharing that lights you up and is driven by your why and purpose.  Focus on Educating, Empowering, and serving others

And don’t fear rejection. Collect the ‘No’s’ as each one is bringing you closer to finding those who are interested!
