To be paid each one of these Bonuses you need to follow the rules for each Bonus.
In this section, we explain the first two in detail. Power of 3, Unilevel and Leadership Bonuses are explained in the ‘How to Grow’ section.
The key thing to remember is that this is a computer system and that if you don’t follow the rules exactly you can’t get paid.
The most common mistake is not doing 100pv on LRP, 99PV will mean you won’t get paid. Doing your 100pv is what qualifies you for all your bonuses. You then need to follow the rules of each Bonus.
A committed builder should do 150pv or more. Look at it as your main expense for your business.
You can get paid on Retail Profit if you only do 50pv.
Remember you must be on LRP and have an order of 100pv+ on LRP to qualify for commissions.
An easy mistake to make is to think you are on LRP and place a one time order. This will not count so make sure your order is on LRP.
Personal Volume
PV is assigned to each product and is a separate total from the dollar amount on your orders. On many products the PV will match the wholesale value. There are a few products that the PV may be less than the cost (e.g. the Family Physician Kit). Shipping costs and tax do not count as PV, so the dollar amount of our order will generally be more than the PV amount.
One: Retail Profit
Once logged in to your back office you can then find your Retail Website. Click on the My Website tab in the top right of the screen.
Your Retail website URL will be this http://mydoterra.com/rebeccabowles but with your name. This can be changed in the same place if you wish to do so. Your retail website will then look like this.
Once your customer has your retail website they can then buy products at retail price and you will receive 25% in commission.
In the US working out your commission is as simple as the illustration above. However in all other countries exchange rates and cost of shipping to these countries needs to be taken in to account. This is where doterra use another metric called Commissionable Volume to work out commissions in different countries.
Two: Fast Start
The Fast Start Bonus is designed to provide immediate earnings to Wellness Advocates when they enroll others. The enroller of the new Wellness Advocate then receives 20 percent of the PV of every order the new Wellness Advocate places in their first 60 days. Here are a few key points:
To qualify for this opportunity you must have a 100 PV LRP order set up at all times. Your 100 PV LRP order must also process during the month.
The Fast Start Bonus is the only commission paid out weekly.
Enrollers will earn commission up to three levels. The enroller of the enroller will earn 10 percent, while their enroller will earn 5 percent. (See diagram below) Beyond the third level of enrollership, no Fast Start will be earned.
There is no compression with the Fast Start Bonus. For example, if you enroll someone who then enrolls someone else and the person you enrolled does not qualify for Fast Start, you will not receive the 20 percent they would have earned from their enrollee. You will still receive the 10 percent.
New Wellness Advocates can earn Fast Start Bonuses in their enrollment month as long as they have an LRP template of at least 100 PV set up.
Only new Wellness Advocates count towards Fast Start Bonuses. Retail customers and Preferred Members do not qualify the enroller for the bonus.
If you do not have 100pv in your LRP basket when the system wants to pay you commission it simply will not pay your account as you have not qualified. Always have 100pv in your LRP basket.
Why do you have to spend 100pv a month to earn Commissions?
This is the only requirement dōTERRA have set to get access to the business side of the website or back office. The system automatically recognises when an account has done 100pv or has 100pv or more in the LRP basket. If both are the case the system will pay the account what it has earnt. As Fast Start is paid weekly you must always have 100pv in your basket or more. Do not take your basket below 100pv once an order is done. Always keep 100pv in your basket and change it when you want to make an order.
What happens if someone doesn’t spend there 100pv?
Then if commission is due they will not be paid. Nothing else changes.
How do I calculate Fast Start?
All calculations are done based on the PV of the product. In US 1 PV = 1 $. In all other countries dōterra then have to do a further step and take the currency conversion into account and any extra import costs.. This figure is called CV. Once you know the CV of the product you can work out fast start as it will be 20%, 10% or 5% of the CV. Please find the latest CV Price list in Resources. This will give you all the CV for each product.
Heres an example: A Home Essential Kit costs £239 the PV is 224.5. These numbers don’t give you the currency conversion.
The CV on this kit is 170.5.
20% of 170.5 = 34.1
So if you are the 1st Enroller and entitled to 20% fast start on this order you would receive £34.1 in Fast Start Commission.
Three: Power of Three
The Power of 3 is an important bonus designed to help you structure your doTERRA business in an effective way.
To qualify for your first level Power of 3, you must set up a 100 PV Loyalty Rewards order. All 3 team members you enroll must also have a 100 PV LRP order set up.
Power of 3 is paid on a monthly basis.
There are three Power of 3 Bonuses that you can earn: £38 (€42/$50), £192 (€212/$250), and £1155 (€1275/$1500).
The first level power of 3 bonus of £38 is achieved in the following way;
You must have three personally sponsored Wellness Advocates and a total of 600 Team Volume. (Team Volume includes your personal order, the orders of your frontline, retail orders, and Wholesale Customer orders.)
