First Steps to Ignite Builders

Once someone has shown interest in the Business opportunity, the next step depends on the interest shown. For example, if they have just ticked the box on the feedback form asking for more information or they have just said they would like some information on the Business then you do not want to go into too much detail at this stage.  However, if they have said they would like to do the Business and they are ready to get going then you will want to get straight into the details!  Below are the general steps to help someone make the decision to commit to the dōTERRA Business.

Send some information

The best thing to do is to send some a little bit of information on what the business is and/or a couple of videos showing the culture and purpose of dōTERRA. This again depends on what the person you are sharing with is like and what you think they will be drawn to.  For example, some people will get more excited about the earning potential where others will want to know about the Healing Hands foundation. Others will love more information on the oils and what makes dōTERRA different.

Set up a conversation

The next step is to set up a chat where you can expand more about the business in a natural way.  You can do this in person or online.  If they have shown a lot of interest in the business, then it is usually best to do this meeting face to face.  This is because a big part of why they will decide to do the business is because of you.  They will want to see that you are someone they can work with and give them the help they need to succeed.

Again, this chat depends on how interested they are.  It is often appropriate to share a little of your own story and why you have decided to do doTERRA.  Show your genuine passion for the oils and the purpose to educate and empower others.  Share what is genuine to you as this is what will help to build trust with your potential advocate.

Shower them with the Product!

  • You can offer a Symphony of the Cells application

  • Invite them over to see all of your oils and products – help them get even more excited about the oils and products

  • Share oil testimonials with them

Intro to the Business

If they are interested, then the next step is to take them through the main parts of the business.  You can use the Build Guide for this or the Intro to the Business Powerpoint.

If they are still not ready for this, then you can send them some more information or another video and wait to go through the intro to the business.  Remember some people will need more time than others to ponder.

Intro to Business Email

You can send this before the intro to business chat but most times this is best used as a follow up to the Chat on the intro to the Business.

Help them teach their first Class

This can often be the first step before you have the business chat but if you haven’t done this yet then this is the next step.

90 Day Oil Program

Get them to start this program if they haven’t already as this will take them through their own personal growth journey with the dōTERRA products, mindset and the basics of the Business and company.

Next steps

Invite them to work through the Business Website. Find a way for Accountability and support that works for both of you. You could set up a weekly chat on zoom, have open communication in WhatsApp etc. You choose!
